- Dive into the powerful world of song lyrics by today’s most influential female artists, including Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Adele. We’ll discuss the themes, emotions, and personal connections behind some of their most well-loved songs. Through group discussions and interpretation, we’ll explore how these lyrics resonate with our own experiences and feelings. Join us for four Saturdays of engaging conversations, new vocabulary, and a deeper understanding of how music tells stories that move us all. Participants should have English skills at a B1 level to fully engage in the activities.

- Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Teilnehmer*innen mit Vorkenntnissen, die diese auffrischen möchten. Virtual reality (VR) bietet viele interessante Praxismöglichkeiten – auch im Sprachunterricht. Dank einer VR-Brille tauchen Sie in eine englischsprachige Welt ein und befinden sich im nächsten Augenblick an der Hotelrezeption, im Hotelzimmer oder im Pub. Dort müssen Sie konkrete Aufgaben erledigen, die Sie auf Ihre nächste (private oder berufliche) Reise vorbereiten. Der Kurs läuft nicht ausschließlich in der virtuellen Welt, viel mehr bietet das virtuelle Setting viele Anlässe, um mit Praxisbezug verschiedene Themen zu wiederholen (Familie, Uhrzeiten, Essen, Bekleidungen, Wetter…) und auf einfachem Niveau das Sprechen zu trainieren.

- Sie haben fortgeschrittene Englischkenntnisse und können Englisch ganz gut verstehen, aber im entscheidenden Moment fehlen Ihnen dann die Worte und Sie können sich nicht überwinden, zu sprechen? Dann sind Sie in diesem Kurs richtig! In lockerer Atmosphäre und mit einer großen Bandbreite an Material und Medien frischen wir Wortschatz und Grammatikthemen der Stufe B1 auf (Vergangenheitsformen, Zukunftsformen, If-Sätze, Modalverben) und sorgen durch diese neue Sicherheit und mit authentischen und abwechslungsreichen Übungen dafür, dass Sie nach und nach immer besser und spontaner ins Sprechen kommen und die Freude daran entdecken! Die Themen Beruf, Erfahrungen der Vergangenheit, Pläne für die nahe und ferne Zukunft sowie Gesundheit und Umwelt bieten dazu ausreichend spannende Sprechanlässe für einen kurzweiligen Unterrichtstag. Dabei kommen natürlich auch Smalltalk, Anekdoten und Landeskunde sowie Übungen, die Ihnen helfen, Argumente vorzubringen und eine Meinung zu vertreten, nicht zu kurz!
